Associated General Contractors of America is a national non-profit trade association founded in 1918 comprised of more than 33,000 firms including 7,500 of America’s leading general contracting companies. The AGC of America is a leading association for the construction industry. It provides a full range of services that help address the needs and concerns of its members, which is mostly comprised of the general contractors, specialty contractors and service providers and suppliers. It aims to improve the quality of construction and protect the interest of the general public.  AGC was established after a proposition made by President Woodrow Wilson. Wilson acknowledged the importance of the construction industry. He desired that there is a partnership between the government and the construction industry so that discussions and plans for the advancement of the nation can be made. AGC has been successfully fulfilling the mission for over 90 years now. It has been the “voice and choice” of the construction industry.
