National Association of State Contractors Licensing Agencies (NASCLA)
National Association of State Contractors Licensing Agencies (NASCLA) is a non-profit corporation that was formed in Utah in 1962. NASCLA is dedicated to providing mutual help to its members in striving for the better regulation of the construction industry. It aims to protect the health, welfare and safety of the general public. The members of this association is made up of state and local contractor licensing agencies, construction firms, construction trade associations and others associated with the construction industry.
NASCLA’s objectives are to promote the protection of the public through the licensing of contractors, to provide a forum for the common construction industry problems and to develop solutions, to assist licensing agencies in creating licensing laws and rules, to provide a clearinghouse for information concerning court decisions disciplinary procedures, to provide technical assistance, to provide mutual assistance in the standardization of licensing examinations, to provide consultation on office procedures and administration, to educate the public about using licensed contractors and to provide a continuing education program for the construction industry. Members of the NASCLA enjoy networking opportunities with industry experts and access to reliable continuing education.
